What is Shaman Training?
The origin of the word Shaman can be traced back in time, at least two millennia. It is most commonly believed to have come from the Tungusic people of Eastern Siberia. Today, many tribes, cultures, and other groups use the term to refer to someone who typically enters an altered state, during ritual and ceremony, to practice divination and healing. Anthropologists who have studied indigenous tribes began to use the term in a very broad sense, to describe medicine people from many different places and cultures.
Shaman Training creates healers who use methods and tools that have been utilized by ancient Shamans around the world. Shamans have long understood that illness and disease exist first energetically, before showing up in the mental, emotional, or physical realms. Shaman Training provides access to these ancient tools and techniques, and combines them with a modern, scientific understanding of energy, to provide deep, measurable healing.
Because of the unique combination of Spirit and science, ceremony and quantifiable procedures, experiential learning and academic rigor, finding Shaman Training that provides certifiable results can be a challenge. Shaman Training should be designed to go above and beyond the concept of education, to include self-growth and self-healing, as well as contributing to the health and well-being of the community and the world. Shaman Training, when delivered by a reliable source, creates impeccably trained practitioners.
